As a municipality, Telde reaches from the shore to the summit, and cultivates a large quantity of products, meaning its restaurants offer a wide range of rich and varied cuisine. An endless list of restaurants where international and national cuisines join together, to produce a wonderful range of flavours.
Shoreside taste
The coastal area is a splendid place to try dishes from typical Canarian cuisine, in particular dishes where fish and seafood are the main ingredients (wreckfish, snapper, fried octopus, mussels and fried clams).
Sancocho is a traditional fish casserole, accompanied by the “papas arrugadas” potato dish and a mojo spicy sauce.

Hotpot tastes
Within the city, visitors can also enjoy a wide variety of delicious dishes, with highlights being the traditional stews, marinated pork dishes, fish stews, roast lamb and kid, and game-related dishes, mainly marinated rabbit.
Something sweet to finish with
Local dessert pastries are based on very sweet desserts, such as bienmesabe (a ground almond dessert), or huevos mole (an egg-yolk based dessert).
But one of the most traditional desserts of the municipality are the Carnival pancakes.
