The city of Telde is in the south east of Gran Canaria, 14km from the island’s capital. It covers 101km², and the centre of the city lies at 130m above sea level, with the highest point being in the Cazadores neighbourhood at 1285m.

If visitors opt for public transport, they need to go to the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Bus Station (Estación de Guaguas) where they can choose between various buses heading for the different neighbourhoods of the municipality of Telde.

Bus (guaga) number 12, which leaves every 30 minutes, ends its route in the urban centre of Telde, although its route makes stops in the neighbourhood of Jinámar. Alternatively, visitors can take buses number 15 and number 55, which go to the neighbourhoods of Las Remudas and Valle de Jinámar.

Finally, the visitor can take bus number 80 from the Santa Catalina Park in the Gran Canaria capital, which goes directly to Telde. This bus has the highest number of departures per day, every 20 minutes approximately.

To go to Telde from Maspalomas or the southern area, visitors can take bus number 36, or number 90, with departures every hour daily.
